Why Lexie exists
withlexie exists for three reasons:
The first is that AI has brought about many new possibilities. Never before has it been possible to get such detailed personalised feedback without a tutor. The self-learner has more power than ever. Generic online tips are now outdated when it's possible to get feedback specific to your needs.
Second is the increasing AI slop. AI is incredible when used correctly. If it's used lazily, the output will also be lazy. This has also infected the language-learning world. One of the main motivations for starting this project was seeing such a powerful tool (AI) being wasted so much. Human > AI > Human should be the default process for every single thing produced with AI.
Third is that many language-learning apps lock you into a system which you rely on. They have their systems hidden. You need to keep subscribing to 'use' their programs. withlexie is different - you still have the courses you downloaded even if you decide to cancel your membership.
Lexie herself is a persona that embodies myself, the creator, in my teaching. No-nonsense, personable, a guide rather than a 'teacher.' Unlike myself, she is able to translate your needs into AI, and the AI into your needs. She understands AI because she IS AI.
Utilising the full power of AI is no longer the future, it's the now. Become part of it.
